ehc supported Hunter New England (HNE) Local Health District (LHD) in developing a text message-delivered intervention to support caregivers of school-aged children to address their children’s sedentary behaviour and screen-time. We worked collaboratively with caregivers to design the content, timing, and tone of the text messages to ensure that the program is more likely to be successful when piloted. A scoping review of evidence has been conducted to inform the qualitative component of the project. We also further engaged caregivers in focus groups to gather their insights and experiences, ensuring that the text-messaging program addresses their needs and challenges effectively.
